One of the primary goals of ECQBA is to provide much needed information on current and proposed legislation to dog owners and breeders alike. There are many laws that have recently been passed and many more currently pending that could mean that you would have to get your puppies altered by four months of age, posing great health risks to the dogs in question. Other laws make it possible for Homeowners Insurance Companies to exclude your dog from your policy or to charge you higher rates to include them. Some breeds of dog are being banned altogether in certain Cities and States. There are so many laws and regulations that seem to be targeting the responsible dog owners and yet those running and operating puppy mills are slipping under the radar. It is your job, as a repsonsible breeder or owner, to know of the pending laws in your area and to try and help pass the good ones and boycott the bad ones.

Another one of our primary goals is to bring quality breeders together to share information, help and advice. We offer a flame-free online forum where breeders can ask questions about anything that they are concerned about. Potential puppy purchasers may also post questions about specific breeds so that they may be better informed when making the important decision of which breed suits their family and situation best.
